The series
PATMOS reimagines the origin of the Book of Revelation through ancient mysticism and futuristic technology. Set in 95 CE, with jumps to the present day and beyond, it follows John of Patmos, whose visions turn out to be encounters with an advanced AI communication device embedded in a crystal.
As John travels through time, his ancient perspective turns modern technology and environmental disaster into the apocalyptic imagery that would become one of the most debated texts ever written.
The first season
Season one follows John's first discovery and his vision quest; season two his adaptation to modern times as an immortal prophet.
Audience
Adults 18 to 49 who like thoughtful science fiction; viewers drawn to spiritual and historical stories.
